Emma & Mike, Hotel Kilmore, Cavan, 16th August 2014
Midnight Sounds, Wedding Bands Ireland headed to Cavan for tonight’s totally awesome wedding. Emma and Mike tied the knot and threw one hell of a party!! The venue was the lovely Hotel Kilmore in Cavan. This is a great venue for any wedding band in Ireland to play. It has a nice easy “Get in” ( the amount of work involved in getting the equipment form the van to the stage) and from our point of view, it’s not too far from Dublin.
Emma and Mike chose “Use Somebody” by the Kings of Leon as their first dance but asked for a slow version of it. We wer more than happy to accept the challenge and it was a beautiful choice for a first dance. We had our full six-piece band followed by Dave spinning the discs as DJ into the early hours of the morning. The dancefloor was packed all night for Emma and Mike’s big night and we even had a stage invasion at one point!
Another full dance floor and another happy couple
Mary & Niall, Dingle Skellig Hotel, Kerry, 15th August 2014
What is it about Midnight Sounds, Wedding Bands Ireland and the Dingle Skellig Hotel? We found ourselves back here AGAIN for the awesome wedding of Mary and Niall. This time, we also had our jazz of the two Daves playing background music for Mary and Niall’s drinks reception. The drinks reception was outside and it was an absolutely gorgeous day. Playing music outside in the sunshine really is good for the soul. Our jazz music combos for drinks receptions are becoming more and more popular every year and we often get asked if we can play outdoors. The answer is a tricky one. It is all dependant on the weather. If we arrive and are totally confident that it won’t rain, we are more than happy to play out doors. If, however, there is even an outside chance of rain, we play indoors. The equipment we use is very expensive and we can’t risk causing any damage but we normally find that if we’re reluctant to go outside, mosts guests are too.
Mary and Niall also booked our full six-piece band followed by DJ. for their first dance, They chose “As Time Goes By” from the movie “Casablanca” . This was the first time we had come across this song being used a first dance and it worked really well. We we’re delighted to receive this lovely message from Mary and Niall after the wedding.
“Hi Robbie – meant to send this email ages ago but the weeks have been flying by. Just wanted to say thanks to you and the rest of the band from Mary and myself. We had a great night and we both thought the band were fantastic from beginning to end as did our guests. A number of people both on the night and afterwards commented on how good ye were. Hopefully ye will get some more business out of it! We will certainly be recommending ye to people”
We also really appreciated that the DJ stayed playing until 230.
I presume the best thing we can do to plug ye is leave a review on the website?
Jenny & Joe, Balyna House, Moyvalley, Kildare, 14th August 2014
Midnight Sounds Wedding Bands Ireland, had the pleasure of playing for Jenny and Joe on their big day. what made this special for our band was that we knew a lot of the guests at the wedding. There is, however, something slightly intimidating when your audience consists of some of the best musicians Ireland has to offer!
Jenny and Joe chose the exclusive Balyna House at Moyvalley for their reception. For any of you organising a medium-sized wedding (50-100) guests, this venue is definitely worth checking out. With exclusive control of the house, you don’t have to worry about curfews and last orders! We we’re impressed with how wonderfully relaxed the staff at Moyvalley were.
The first dance Jenny and Joe chose was “songbird” by Eva Cassidy. We spoke to the couple beforehand and were we’re all in agreement that it would be very difficult to replicate the original version of this song so we used Eva Cassidy’s recording and it was the right choice. Yet another packed dancefloor all night (well, except when everyone went outside to watch the incredible chinese lantern display) and another happy couple and we were delighted to receive this message from the bride and groom the following day;
“Hey Dave! Massive thanks for last night. the band was amazing obviously and fantastic job with the dj’ing! Couldn’t of gone any better. Thanks again!”
Mags & Jason, Belfray Country Inn, 13th August 2014
Midnight Sounds, Wedding Bands Ireland, carried on out packed summer schedule with the journey north to Derry and the Belfray Country Inn. This was our first time at this venue and we definitely hope it won’t be our last. From a bands point of view it has everything you could ask for. Purpose built stage, in-house PA system and a lighting rig that wouldn’t be out of place in Vegas! We mentioned in a previous posts that midweek weddings can sometimes fade early but this wasn’t the case here. The dancefloor was packed until the early hours of the morning.
We loved Mags and Jason’s first dance. The actually performed the complete routine of “teenage wedding” from Pulp Fiction for their guests. It was simply brilliant. Every couple has a different approach to their first dance. Some couples dread it all day and just want to get it over with. Others (like Mags and Jason) savour every minute of it and prepare for months in advance. Here are some pictures of yet another packed dance floor and another happy couple.
Caral & Robert, Bellingham Castle, 10th august 2014
One of the things we ask engaged couples when they are preparing their wedding music is, are there any songs you DON’T want to hear at your wedding. You may be shocked to hear that “500 miles” by The Proclaimers. Not the case for Caral and Robert’s wedding. In fact, they had a dance routine planned around it and all the groomsmen were wearing kilts to add to the scottish feel. In a previous blog post we mentioned the difference between venues that claim to be castles and actual castles. This is very much a castle and about as classy as you can get. The owners of Bellingham Castle also own and run Ballyseede Castle in Tralee which is another one of our favourite wedding venues. Check out this great article about Castle Weddings in Ireland from One Fab Day.
Caral and Robert Chose “Baby I Love Your Way” by Big Mountain for their first dance and we were happy to learn this for them. Having a live brass section really adds to these type of songs and gives us a wider range of options for first dances. We provided our full six-piece band followed immediately by our DJ service. We had the dancefloor packed all night again. What more do you expect from the best wedding band in Ireland. That’s what we do!
Martina & Stephen, Markree Castle, 9th August 2014
We hopped back in the Midnight Sounds Wedding Bands Ireland Tour bus and headed west to Sligo and Markree Castle for Martina and Stephen’s big day. As anyone planning a wedding will know, there are many different venue options available. Restaurants, hotels. private houses, marquees and castles. While many venues have the term “Castle” in their name, it is a bit of a stretch to say that there venue IS a castle. There may have previously been a castle on the grounds or are near a castle. This is definitely not the case with Markree Castle. This is a beautiful and magnificent castle no matter what way you look at it.
We were delighted to provide our full day package for this wedding. This consisted of Dave and Karla performing for the ceremony, Dave and James playing background music for the drinks reception, our full six-piece band filling the dance floor and finally, our DJ, Shane playing to 2am. What a day!!
Martina and Stephen chose “Nothings gonna stop us now” by Starship as their first dance. The dance floor was packed all night and the energy in the room was incredible. This is a venue that wedding bands in Ireland love coming to and we certainly went away again with happy memories.
Victoria & Alan, Marine Hotel, Sutton, 8th August 2014
The beautiful Marine Hotel in Sutton which overlooks Dublin Bay was the setting for Victoria and Alan’s big day. Wedding bands in Ireland like Midnight Sounds, travel the length and breadth of the country week in , week out so it was great to have a local wedding and it was a pleasure to play for such a lovely couple and great guests. We had an absolute ball and provided our full 6-piece band followed by Dave spinning the discs until 2am.
Victoria and Alan chose the brilliant “Wonderful World” by Sam Cooke as their first dance but the highlight of the night had to be their choice for the last song of the evening. We have to admit we were sceptical when Victoria asked us to finish the night with Johnny Logan’s Eurovision winner, “Hold me now”. It turns out that Alan is a Bohemians FC fan and this is their unofficial anthem! We had the whole dancefloor singing this back. Check out the video, it certainly brings a smile to our face!
Trish & Andy, White’s of Wexford, 7th August 2014
Back to one of out favourite venues for this Thursday night wedding. This certainly had the feel of a weekend and when we finished up at 2am there was no sign at all of the party stopping down. White’s of Wexford is another venue that can change the size of it’s main ballroom to suit the size of your wedding. As all wedding bands in Ireland will tell you, there is nothing worse than playing to 130 guests in a room that holds 800. With White’s, you don’t have that problem. Another benefit to having the room partitioned is that the band can bring there equipment all the way up to the stage while the meal is on without anyone noticing. Again, this means no time is wasted in getting the music going.
Andy and Trish chose the beautiful “Rules of Science” by Picturehouse as their first dance. We have to admit this was a new one for us but we were more than happy to learn it and would love to play it again if we got the chance. Wedding bands in Ireland love finding new ideas for first dances. We had another packed dancefloor all night as these pictures show and another happy couple.
Lisa & Keith, Castleknock Hotel & Country Club, 2nd August 2014
After our long journey to Dingle for last night’s wedding, Midnight Sounds Wedding Band made our way back across Ireland for Lisa and Keith’s wedding at the Castleknock Hotel and Country Club. Like we’ve said before, Having the bar in the room really helps maintain the atmosphere for any wedding reception. At the Castleknock Hotel and country club, they go even further. They will position the stage and dancefloor in different locations depending on the size of your wedding, all the while making sure that the room still looks amazing and they really do it well. Castleknock also partition the room during the meal in such a way that the band can actually set up during the meal without causing any disruption. While we always recommend leaving at least half an hour between your meal and the band starting, it is always great when the band can get ready without delay. This means you will get the full “bang for your buck”.
Lisa and Keith chose “One day like this” by Elbow as their first dance and this is always a great choice. By the way, if any of you are considering this, it is also a great closing song at the end of the night as it really is somewhat of an anthem at this stage. All in all, another great night with a packed dancefloor and another happy couple. Castleknock hotel is also a great venue for those of you considering getting married in Dublin.
Michelle & Tom, Dingle Skellig Hotel, 1st August 2014
Once again, we find ourselves embarking an the long journey to Dingle. Do we mind? Not at all. Wedding bands in Ireland constantly travel nationwide and it’s part of the job that we love. particularly when it’s to a location as gorgeous as Dingle. The Dingle Skellig Hotel is also a venue we know well. In fact, we’re back here next week! We often get asked by friends booking their wedding venues what to look out for when booking their venue. From an entertainment point of view, it is so much easier when the bar is in the ballroom and the smoking area isn’t too far away. The Dingle Skellig ticks these boxes and we always have a good night. Michelle and Tom chose “Better” by Tom Baxter as their first dance. If you follow our blog regularly you will know that this was our singer Dave’s choice as first dance for his own wedding so he always gets a bit teary eyed when performing this one live!
Michelle & Stephen, Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel, 25th July 2014
A relatively local weding tonight for Midnight Sounds. Michelle and Stephen had their wedding reception at the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel and had our four-piece band. We very often get asked what drops out of the band for our four-piece version. In this case we didn’t have saxophone or trumpet (brass section) so Dave and Jane were given a well deserved night off! The four piece worked out very well in this venue. This is not always the case, particularly in bigger rooms. Midnight Sounds is one of the few wedding bands in Ireland who can adapt our band size to suit your budget and requirements so do have a chat with us about what you need. For their first dance, Michelle and Stephen chose the beautiful “How will I love you” by Ellie Goulding as their first dance and we used the original recorded as requested for this one. Everyone has their own preference for their first dance. Stephen and Michelle wanted to hear the song exactly as they were used to. Another busy dance floor and a great night for Midnight Sounds. ( Wedding Bands Ireland).
Laura & Keith, Druid’s Glen, Wicklow, 19th July 2014
After the Midnight Sounds Wedding band tour to Sligo, our next stop this weekend was Laura and Keith’s wedding in the luxurious Druid’s Glen. Mark and Dave provided background music for the drinks reception while Laura and Keith were having their photographs taken. It is worth keeping in mind if you are a couple considering booking music for your drinks reception that this is generally when your photographs are being taken and quite often the bride and groom catch the end of the drinks reception. However, your guests will love it! We followed this with our six-piece band which kept the dance floor all night followed by our DJ service right through to 2am. Keith and Laura chose ” La Mer” by Bobby Darrin for their first dance. They decided to have our DJ play this as they wanted to hear the song exactly as they heard it and it looks like they had a bit of a routine worked out. A great night was enjoyed by all and ANOTHER packed dance floor all night. Congratulations guys.
Siobhan & Tommy, Ocean Sands Hotel, Sligo, 17th July 2014
Another trip west for Midnight Sounds Wedding Band. This week we had the pleasure of travelling to the beautiful Enniscrone for Siobhan and Tommy’s wedding. Mark and Dave welcomed guests to the drink reception with some smooth background jazz before our full six-piece band filled the dancefloor into the wee hours of the morning. The Ocean Sands Hotel was a beautiful setting with the ballroom actually overlooking the sea to provide a stunning backdrop to the dancefloor. Siobhan and Tommy had Ed Sheeran’s “Kiss Me” as their first dance. We must be one of the luckiest wedding bands in Ireland to play at weddings like these.
Caitriona & Stephen, Horetown House, Wexford, 12th July 2014
What can we say about this night! It was great to be in Wexford on the night the Wexford Hurlers won such a big game but to be in such opuent surroundings was a real treat for Midnight Sounds. The stunning Horetown House in Wexford was the setting for Caitriona and Stephen’s wedding. We had our full six-piece band and DJ with us for the night. Horetown House has permanent marquee which is stylishly decorated so you get a contemporary feel right next door to the classic building dating back to 1692. This is a great setting for a wedding and well worth a look if you are considering getting married in a private estate in the Wexford area. A big thank you to Kate and Niamh from Horetown House who were more than hospitable to the band. Congratulations again to Caitriona and Stephen.
Yvonne & Niall, Vienna Woods Hotel, Cork, 11th July 2014
Into the tour bus and on to the M8 for Yvonne and Niall’s big day in the lovely surroundings of the Vienna Woods Hotel in Cork. This was a wonderfully relaxed affair and Yvonne and Niall’s guests danced the night away to a wide variety of music. Their first dance was “You are the best thing” by Ray Lamontagne. The great thing about having a brass section (trumpet and sax) with us is that we can play songs like these live which would be tricky with a smaller sized band. Thankfully, Yvonne and Niall went for our six-piece band. We also had Jason with us on DJ duties. Another busy dance floor entertained by Midnight Sounds.
Charlane & Thomas, Castlknock Hotel & Country Club, 6th July 2014
Our last wedding this weekend was the lovely Charlane and Thomas’ fab night at Castleknock Hotel and Country Club. We had our six-piece band with Vincent on front man duties again. We also had Jason with us as who kept the disco going into the small hours of the morning. We were also delighted to be joined by Celtic Dance Fusion who really added some culture to the night and were enjoyed by all. There was a great atmosphere on the dance floor and it was a pleasure to be part of such a great night!
Anne-Marie & Mark, Leixlip Manor & Gardens, 5th July 2014
Much closer to home tonight for Midnight Sounds Wedding Band and the stylish surroundings of Leixlip Manor and Gardens for Anne-Marie and Mark’s wedding. We were delighted to also provide pre-dinner background music in addition to our full band and DJ service. Dave and Mark provided some smooth Jazz for the drinks reception and the band kept the dance floor full with everything from chart music to trad music. The band’s full versatility was there fro all to see. Another happy couple and a great night for Midnight Sounds Wedding Band. Leixlip Manor is one of our favourite venues and well worth looking into if you are considering getting married in the Dublin/Kildare area.
Carine & Chris, Carnaween House, 4th July 2014
Well, you will often hear bands complaining about long journeys. We spoke about it at length in another post on this page. BUT. we genuinely love it. Particularly for such a distinctive wedding as Carine and Chris’ on Friday night. Most of the band had to rely heavily on google maps here and as James our bass player pointed out, when google maps also shows you how long it will take to fly to your destination, you know you have a long journey ahead. But this was a truly great night. Carine and Chris got married on Portnoo Strand in Donegal and had their wedding reception in a custom built marquee at Carnaween House over looking the Atlantic Ocean. It was a real pleasure to play for this wedding and a great night was enjoyed by all. Carine and Chris chose “Everywhere” by Fleetwood Mac as their first dance.
Emma & Andrew, Marlfield House, 28th June 2014
Back to the Sunny South East for Midnight Sounds and the luxurious surroundings of Marlfield House in Wexford. Weddings in exclusive country houses seem to be more popular than ever and why not! Guests can bop away to the band (hopefully Midnight Sounds) or unwind in the library with a drink. Everybody enjoys weddings for different reasons. Some people like dancing all night, others hate the thought of dancing. when you have the whole place to yourself, guests can come and go as they please and this creates a wonderfully relaxed environment for your guests. we had a blast playing for Emma and Andrew’s wedding and it looks like their guests enjoyed the music. Congratulations guys!
Billy and Sinead, the Lord Bagenal Hotel, Carlow, 27th June 2014
Next stop on the Midnight Sounds summer wedding tour was the Lord Bagenal Hotel in Carlow for Sinead and Billy’s wedding. We have to first of all give a huge shout out to the staff of the Lord Bagenal whose and experience and helpfulness behind the scenes always makes the weddings at this hotel special. They even let us go quite a bit over time with the music which is a rarity these days. Sinead and Billy chose “You are the best thing” by Ray Lamontagne as their first dance and this was a great song for the band to play. We had our six-piece band including trumpet and sax with us which meant we could play the song exactly as the original. A great night and a great wedding with Dave taking over DJ duties after the band. Thanks again to Sinead and Billy for choosing Midnight Sounds.
Barry and Elena, Esplanade Hotel, Bray, 22nd June 2014
Sunday weddings are definitely becoming popular across Ireland and on possibly the hottest day of the year, where would you rather be than the seafront at Bray. The Esplanade Hotel is where Barry and Elena got married and there was a great summer party atmosphere. The first dance was the beautiful “High Hopes” by Kodaline. Elena’s family travelled all the way from Russia and we were happy to play “Hotel California” as a special request for the father of the bride. Our six-piece band kept the party going and our DJ shane took over from us straight away. Congratulations again to Barry and Elena and thank you for booking Midnight Sounds Wedding Band.
Yvonne and Daniel, Ballyseede Castle, Tralee, 21st June 2014
Midnight Sounds were delighted to be back in the stunning surroundings of Ballyseede Castle. This is simply a stunning venue and we were delighted so be reunited with “Genghis” the resident Irish Wolfhound who, like clockwork arrives in exactly when the sausages are being served! He never causes a fuss and wedding guests are always happy to see him. We had the six-piece band with us and Shane took over DJ duties afterwards. We had a packed dance floor all the way through and it was great to be part of such a good night.
Petra and Colin, Ardilaun Hotel, Galway, 20th June 2014
Midnight Sounds Headed West again for Colin and Petra’s Wedding at the Ardilaun Hotel in Galway. We had our six-piece band with Dave on superstar DJ duties until the small hours of the morning. Colin and Petra chose “One day like this” by Elbow. This song had a special significance to Colin who is a member of a choir who recently recorded a version of this in RT. The recorded was picked up and commented on by no other than Guy Garvey of Elbow. Another packed dance floor and a great night for Colin, Petra, their guests and Midnight Sounds Wedding Band.
Tracy & Thabiso, annebrook House Hotel, Mullingar,14th June 2014
It’s been a few months since we were at the Annebrook and it was great to be back for Tracy and Thabiso’s wedding in Mullingar. Tracy and Thabiso chose a “Your love is like” by Rick Pino as their first dance. This was our first time to come across this lovely tune. Any engaged couples out there looking for first dance inspiration could be pleasantly surprised by this great song. You can check it out here.
Sarah & Mark, Westgrove Hotel, Clane, 13th June 2014
Our next stop this weekend was Sarah and Mark’s wedding at the Westgrove Hotel in Clane. Another great night unfolded before us and the dance floor was never quiet. Sarah and Mark’s guests really wanted a wide selection of music and we were happy to accept the challenge. We covered Jives, Waltzes, Rock and Roll, Pop, Rock, Blues, Trad, Swing. You name it, we got it! This was all before our DJ shane took over from us and even then, the party showed no signs of dying down.
Katrina & Colin, Brook Lodge, 12th June 2014
Another one of our favourite venues, Midnight Sounds returned to the fabulous Brook Lodge for Katrina and Colin’s awesome big day. The dance floor was stuffed all night and this was a real party! This was a Thursday wedding but it quickly became apparent that there weren’t too many people working on Friday morning. Katrina and Colin chose the beautiful “Today” by Joshua Radin as their first dance. A great night enjoyed by all. Always nice to be thanked so warmly at the end of the night!
Duane & Jessie, Finnstown House, 7th June 2014
A Local wedding for Midnight Sounds Wedding Band. We spend most of the year travelling around Ireland. This is what we love doing and it is great to see the huge variety in wedding venues around Ireland but it is nice to be in Dublin now and again! Duane and Jessie had our full six-piece wedding band and their guests were certainly up for a good night. It was also the first time we played a Japanese song for a first dance! Thanks again to all the staff at Finnstown House who as always, made the night very easy for the band.
Caroline & Ciaran, Ballymagarvey Village, 6th June 2014
Caroline and Ciaran Really did things in style at the glorious Ballymagarvey Village. This is a venue we are certainly getting to know very well and it is always a pleasure to play here. We had our full six-piece band packing the dance floor and our DJ Shane took over until the early hours of the morning.
Brian & Michelle, Sheraton Hotel, Athlone, 31st May 2014
Off to the Midlands for Brian and Michelle’s Wedding. This was a great day and night. Mark and Dave provided classy jazz music on for the roof top drinks reception. Thanks as well to the staff at the Sheraton who very cleverly thought to put a canopy up over the jazz duo in case it rained. Thankfully the rain held off! Brian and Michelle chose “Waitin on a sunny day” by Bruce Springsteen as their first dance which we were happy to play live. The dance floor was packed all the way through the band’s set and this continued through Dave’s disco set. We were also delighted to receive a lovely thank you card from Brian & Michelle.
April & Daniel, Ashdown Park Hotel, Wexford, 30th May 2014
Midnight Sounds Wedding Band were back in the familiar surroundings of the Ashdown Park Hotel in Gorey for April and Daniel’s fab wedding. Our full six-piece band kept the dance floor hopping and the spirits high! The band welcomed Vincent into the fold again for another great front man performance. Night’s like these make us love being in a wedding band. We have played at this venue a lot this year and it is certainly worth looking at if you are getting married in the sunny south east.

Toni & Jimmy, Heritage Hotel, Laois, 22nd May 2014
We had the full six-piece band and DJ package in for Toni & Jimmy’s big day and what a night it was. After their great choice of first dance (“better” by Tom Baxter), we were delighted to perform some One Direction by special request for Toni and Jimmy’s daughter Ailbhe who joined them on the dance floor. We were delighted to receive this lovely message from the Happy Couple the next day.
tks a mill, we had a complete blast & midnight sounds had a big part to play in that. Massive tks to the guys & girl. U were fantastic. Just back home now & packing for Dubai. Tks again you were brill.

Of course, another full dance floor!
Meadbh & Rob, Ballybeg House, 16th May 2014
A short hop to Wicklow for the stunning setting of Ballybeg House for Meadbh & Rob’s big day. This was actually Midnight Sounds Wedding Band’s first trip to Ballybeg House and we certainly hope it won’t be our last to this exclusive venue. The lack of phone coverage means you have no choice but to look up and take in the magnificent surroundings. The reception here is an exquisite permanent marquee and it is just cosy enough to create a great atmosphere on the dance floor. Meadbh an Rob’s guests certainly had their dancing shoes on and our full six piece wedding band stuffed the dancefloor until Shane our DJ took over and kept the party going. Great night all round! If you are considering having your wedding in wicklow (the garden of Ireland) then we strongly recommend checking out Ballybeg House. Great food, stunning venue oh… and don’t forget to book Midnight Sounds!
Ps, an unusual but great choice of first dance by Meadbh & Rob. Has anyone out there ever had “This must be the place” by Talking Heads as their first dance! Well we were delighted to perform this live for the first time.
Midnight Sounds Wedding Band Ireland, Lauren & Alan, Dunboyne Castle, Meath, 18th May 2014
Back to one of our favourite venues tonight for the wedding of Lauren & Alan. We would be biased here, this is where Dave our singer got married and the band have a lot of happy memories of this Hotel. Dunboyne Castle in meath always do things to the highest professional standards and they make it so easy for wedding bands to come in and do their job well. One other thing to point out to couples still considering different venues for their big day, having the bar in the function room itself always makes it easier to create a good atmosphere. Just a small thing to keep in mind. Midnight Sounds provided a stylish jazz duo consisting of guitar and double bass for Alan and Lauren’s drink reception. This was followed by our full 6-piece wedding band and DJ. as you can see from the pictures below, Midnight Sounds Wedding Band, once again filled the dance floor.
For more information on booking Dunboyne Castle for your big day, just click here; http://www.dunboynecastlehotel.com/weddings.html
Have a look at how Midnight Sounds had the dance floor hopping at Alan and Lauren’s wedding. You can see more here
Midnight Sounds Wedding Band Ireland. Elizabeth & Feargal, Ashdown Park Hotel, Wexford, 16th May 2014
And so back on the tour bus for Midnight Sounds Wedding Band and a trip to the sunny south-east and the Ashdown Park Hotel in Gorey for Elizabeth and Feargal’s big day. This is another venue we come across quite a bit and is a great choice for couples getting married in the wexford area. The main ballroom is adaptable to different sized weddings. They also give the band the option of using a stage or not. We do get asked by venues quite a bit whether or not we would like to use the stage. We prefer not to. Why, you ask? Well, Midnight Sounds Wedding Band have been known to get a bit too animated onstage at times and the more flimsy the stage, the more worrying it becomes! Another great night here and another full dancefloor.
For more information on booking the Ashdown Park Hotel for your wedding just click here; http://www.ashdownparkhotel.com/weddings-venue-wexford
you can see lots of picures from this wedding on our facebook page but here’s a sample of the mood on the dance floor for this great night. Congratulations again to Elizabeth and Feargal.
Midnight Sounds Wedding Band, Ireland. Terence & Niamh, Keadeen Hotel, Kildare. 11th May 2014
At Midnight Sounds Wedding Band, we’re now strongly looking at moving into the Keadeen. We seem to be here every week! Not that we’re complaining! As a wedding band, you have to expect to travel around Ireland a lot. This is pretty local but we would have gone anywhere to play for a wedding like Terence and Niamh’s! This truly was a great night.
We we’re delighted to welcome Eoin into the band again. Another Awesome frontman we are happy to have in Midnight Sounds. Again, we have to give special mention to the staff at the Keadeen who were brilliant as always. I know we mentioned them in another post but if you would like more informtion on booking the Keadeen for your wedding, just click here; http://www.keadeenhotel.ie/
You can find more pictures of Terence and Niamh’s packed dance floor on our facebook page but here our a few good ones courtesy of our DJ Shane from Event Innovations.
Midnight Sounds, Wedding Band Ireland, Sarah & Jack, Bunratty Castle, Clare, 9th May 2014
What an unbelievable night in Bunratty. Midnight Sounds Wedding Band headed west again to Bunratty for Sarah and Jack’s blacktie wedding. The wet weather couldn’t dampen the spirits and our six-piece band had the dance floor stuffed again from start to finish. Our DJ, Shane took over ensuring the party kept going. What a crowd, from “Wagon Wheel” to “One Direction” we just couldn’t go wrong! Special praise has to go to our saxophone player Dave, who learned the solo for Sarah and Jack’s first dance which was ” A million love songs” by Take That. We wanted him to walk out on the dance floor in a white suit surrounded by smoke but the Health and Safety Regulations wouldn’t allow it. Don’t know how Kenny G gets away with it!
Bunratty Castle certainly know what they are doing when it comes to staging stylish weddings. If you would like more information on having you big day there, just click here; http://www.bunrattycastlehotel.com/weddingsclare.html
Once again, Midnight Sounds did the job asked of a wedding band, namely, we filled the dance floor again. Here is a link to our facebook page where you can see us in action at Jack and Sarah’s wedding but we left you a little sample.
Midnight Sounds Wedding Band Ireland Review- Louise and Ciaran, Kinnitty Castle, Offaly, May 2014
Midnight Sounds Wedding Band carried on their tour throughout Ireland this weekend. We hopped on our tour bus and headed to Kinnity Castle in Offaly for the fabulous wedding of Louise and Ciaran. We also cleaned the inside of the tour bus.
Midnight Sounds Tour Bus interior.
The problem is cleaning the exterior as it doesn’t fit through most car washes. We also get some strange looks from the older waltz-loving generation when we pull up outside the more exclusive venues. For some reason, the grandparents are convinced we’re going to be too loud when they see us arrive in our bus.
This was another great night for Midnight Sounds Wedding Band. Ciaran and Louise’s guests were really in party mode and we were more than happy to join in. The first dance was the beautiful “better” by Tom Baxter. This is a song close to Dave’s heart as he also had this song for the first dance at his own wedding. We also have to mention the venue. Kinnitty Castle is simply magnificent and a great choice for any couple looking for a classy wedding. The staff were great as always and for more information on Kinnitty Castle, just click here; http://www.kinnittycastlehotel.com/
We hd the full six-piece band for Ciaran and Louise. Our DJ Shane kept the party going well into the night and you can see by our photos that the dance floor was rocking. We also received this lovely e-mail from Louise and Ciaran afterwards;
Just wanted to thank Midnight Sounds for the wonderful job they did at keeping the dance floor full all night at our wedding in Kinnitty. All our guests are still talking about how good the band were!!Thank you guys so much-the music was a really important part of the day for us and we loved every minute of it! Also want to thank the DJ too… kept the dance floor full for another few hours after the band had left.
Thanks again and we will be sure to recommend you to any newly engaged friends.

Midnight Sounds, Wedding Band Ireland, Regina & Michael, Hotel Minella, Clonmel, Tipperary, 2nd May 2014,
What a day for Midnight Sounds Wedding Band. Regina and Michael booked our full package including ceremony music, jazz music for their drinks reception, full six-piece wedding band for their after dinner party and our DJ Shane. This is a huge honour when we are given full responsibility for all the music on a couples wedding day. Starting off with their ceremony, Karla and Susan provided the ceremony music while Dave and James welcomed guests to the Hotel Minella in Clonmel with some classy and sophisticated jazz music. After dinner all hell broke loose! It’s safe to say that Regina an Michael’s guests were well up for a party. The dance floor was stuffed and the feel good factor was evident as you can see from our pictures below. It is one of the best parts of being in a wedding band, to see happy faces on a busy dance floor. We cover every inch of Ireland making this happen. For more information on booking the Hotel Minella for your wedding just click here; http://hotelminella.com/
We were also delighted to receive this lovely e-mail from the happy couple;

Thanks so much to you and your band for the great music for our wedding on 2nd May.A lot of people were asking who the great band were. I hope the trip to Tipp wasn’t too long for you coming from Dublin and back again.
Thanks and Kind regards
